How to use
PaperSweep

Step-by-step answers to the most common questions about uploading, processing, credits, and privacy.

Getting started

How do I sort my documents?

Visit papersweep.eu, drag and drop your PDF into the upload area (or click "browse files"), then click "Sweep it." PaperSweep reads every page, classifies each document, and prepares a download. No account or setup required.

What file types are supported?

PaperSweep accepts PDF files only. For best results, use a scanned PDF where each page is a document image. Text-based PDFs (digitally created) are also supported.

Upload & processing

How long does processing take?

Most jobs complete in 30–90 seconds depending on the number of pages. Large batches (150+ pages) may take up to 3 minutes. You'll see a live progress indicator while processing runs.

Why did my upload fail?

Check that your file is a PDF, under 100 MB, and under 300 pages in total. If you're uploading multiple files, the combined size and page count must stay within those limits. If the problem persists, try refreshing the page and uploading again.

Credits & pricing

How does the free tier work?

Every browser gets 50 MB free — no account required. The free allowance is tracked per browser and per IP address to prevent abuse. Once it's used, you'll be prompted to purchase a credit bundle.

Do credits expire?

No. Purchased credits are tied to your browser via an anonymous local ID and never expire. If you clear your browser data, use the recovery link (available in the credits bar) to restore your credits on a new browser.

Privacy & security

Is my data safe during processing?

All uploads are encrypted in transit via HTTPS. Files are stored only for the duration of processing and deleted automatically within 2 hours of your job completing. No human ever accesses your files.

Can I request deletion of my data?

Your document files are automatically deleted within 2 hours — you don't need to request it. The only data we keep indefinitely is your anonymous usage total (bytes uploaded). No document content, filenames, or personal information is retained.
